Are you 100% sure that you're going to Heaven?

You can know for sure!

"These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God."

God doesn't want you guessing if you are going to Heaven or not!

"For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:"

Jesus Christ conquered death for you!

We all sin

"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;"

No one is perfect, and no one has lived up to God’s standards

...there is a cost for sin (death and hell)

"For the wages of sin is death…"

Sin must always be paid for and if your sin is not forgiven YOU must pay the eternal price for it

"And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death."

At the very end of the book, we see the eternal payment

...BUT Jesus paid your penalty in full

"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."

God sent His only Son to pay for your sins in your place

Salvation is a free Gift!

"…but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."

"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast."

You can't work your way to Heaven, salvation is a FREE gift from God!

Call on Jesus Christ by faith

"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved."

Jesus Christ wants everyone to get saved!

Call on Jesus Christ in prayer

"For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."

Your prayer must be a sincere trusting in Jesus Christ. The words don't save you, only the belief and trust in your heart toward Jesus. You can pray like you are writing a letter or talking to a teacher.
  1. Tell Jesus what he already knows, that you are a sinner and you are destined to hell
  2. Humbly ask Jesus to save you from your sins
You must repent toward Jesus Christ
  3. Believe this in your heart
The prayer does not save you, it is the belief in your heart...trusting in Jesus Christ saves you. This is repentence toward God (Acts 20:21).

What Next??

If you prayed sincerely and just trusted Jesus Christ as your Saviour, you now have the ability to understand the Bible! (1 Corinthians 2:14, Romans 8:5-7).

Below are some books to start with in your Bible reading. The Bible is split into two divisions, 1 - Old Testament (before Christ) and 2 - New Testament (Christ && after)

  1. 1 John (the 2nd to last book, right before the book of Revelation)
    • This will give you insight about your own Salvation and help you understand your salvation personally
  2. John (the 4th book in the New Testament)
    • This is the life and death and ressurrection of Jesus Christ according to the Apostle John
  3. Romans (the 6th book in the New Testament)
    • This teaches how a Christian should live
The Bible link on the menu bar has the entire King James Bible online for free. You can also use the Daily Proverb menu item or the Daily Psalms menu item to get some daily doses of Scripture
